Waffle!
After Din Tai Fung I tried to go to Qipu Lu with Bethie and Ellen, but apparently they close at like 5…? Oh well. There was a nice bridge (over the Suzhou Creek, I believe?) on the way
Went to Din Tai Fung for dinner on Tuesday! Reputed to have really good xlb. I think I DEFINITELY like tang bao better than xlb… But it was overall pretty good hah
After the sushi, Melissa and I split some yummy desserts from a nearby shop ^_^
Had sushi on Monday with Bethie and Melissa. We split some stuff and then got some other stuff individually. The California Roll had banana in it (o_O), but other than that, it was pretty standard and quite good ^_^ haha
For dinner I went with Melissa to hoF (yes, I went there yesterday as well…). We split a cheese plate and I got the baked pasta. For dessert I got one of the iced chocolates. Yum! We also got the drink of the month, which sounded like it would be similar to egg nog. It wasn’t, and it was so strong it burned >_<; haha But once I got used to the burn it wasn’t bad…
“Venice”, on the other hand, was actually quite pretty. But still… after Thames Town I had been expecting a little more from Italy Town. The whole thing was just so weird! haha
A very sad fountain (clearly no longer in use) and a falling-apart sign told us we were supposed to be in Torino…
We did find a dinosaur that said “Citta di Pujiang”, though, so we began to guess we were in the right place. Maybe just some art section? There were even more weird statues and thing as we continued on…
